
Scrap Conveyor
We designed, fabricated, and installed a custom overhead scrap conveyor system for a corrugated box facility to efficiently remove production scrap while maximizing floor space. All structural steel was built in-house and integrated with reliable drive components, resulting in a durable, streamlined solution that improved material handling and reduced manual cleanup.
This project involved the complete design, fabrication, and installation of a custom scrap conveyor system for a corrugated box manufacturing facility. The conveyor was engineered to efficiently remove scrap material from the production line and transport it overhead, maximizing floor space and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Our scope of work covered the entire build from start to finish. We fabricated all structural steel components in-house, including the conveyor rails, supports, and mounting assemblies. The system was designed to be suspended from the existing building structure, requiring precise layout, alignment, and load consideration during fabrication and installation.
In addition to structural fabrication, we sourced and integrated the conveyor belts, motors, and drive components to meet the operational demands of continuous scrap handling. All mechanical components were selected to ensure reliability, smooth operation, and compatibility with the facility’s production flow.
Installation was completed on-site and included rigging, overhead mounting, mechanical assembly, and final alignment of the conveyor system. The finished installation resulted in a durable, fully custom solution tailored to the plant’s layout and production needs, improving material handling efficiency and reducing manual scrap removal.
