Scrap Conveyor

Progressive Millwrights designed, fabricated and installed a custom overhead scrap conveyor system for a corrugated box manufacturing facility. The system was developed to move production scrap away from the manufacturing line while utilizing overhead space and minimizing interference with operations on the plant floor.
Our team fabricated the structural steel components in-house, including conveyor rails, supports and mounting assemblies, and sourced and integrated the belts, motors and drive components required for the system. Because the conveyor was suspended from the existing building structure, careful layout, alignment and coordination were required throughout fabrication and installation.
Installation was completed on-site and included rigging, overhead mounting, mechanical assembly and final alignment, resulting in a complete conveyor system tailored to the facility's layout and material-handling requirements.
